Multiline textbox in picture library wraps text

I have a multiline text box in a picture library. When I edit, newlines are displayed. When I display, all the text wraps and it's difficult to read (multiple paragraphs merge). What's the best way to resolve this?

(Edit) The top FAQ is the field displayed in display mode, the bottom FAQ is the same field displayed in edit mode. Code: FAQS
