How to return to Document Set front-page view when closing the online doc editor

I've set up a test my-site, in SharePoint 2013 on Office 365.

I've set up a document set content type for a document library. When I open a document set, I see the doc set front page, which consists of a meta-data webpart, and a document list web-part. If I edit one of the documents in the online editor, then when leaving the editor it does not return me to the document set front page. Instead it drops me back inside the document set folder, but with default 'view' for the document library selected, not the default view that the document is configured to use in the documents web-part.

I don't know if this is just quirky SharePoint behaviour. I'd appreciate if someone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks in advance.
