WebDav Connection not resolving to Site in SharePoint 2013

I am trying to make a WebDav connection to Site, which is hosted on my SharePoint 2013 server, but when I try to connect using WebDav, I am getting an error message "The network name cannot be found". The URL is http://:1234/". However, if I remove the port id, then it lets me in.

When does access to the SharePoint server without the port id, I am not seeing folder relating to any site, and thus I cannot confirm what the correct behaviour should be.

Can someone please advise me where the site has a port id and you want to connect with WebDav how do you access it? Plus, when you do connect - should you see something like a directory structure?
