Create Powerview Reports from Sharepoint 2013?

Can you create Powerview reports directly from list data in Sharepoint 2013, without going through Excel 2013? If so, can you point me down the path for the first several steps? All the information I've seen requires you to manually create and relate your data in Excel, then manually upload the file to Sharepoint first...
