Normally our SQL database has around 100-200 connections established to various webservers and application. Our DBA did a health check this week and this has jumped to 600-700 upon further investigation it appears that all of these new connections are coming from the mssearch.exe process on our SharePoint server.
Any idea what would be causing this?
