Here are my assumptions:
The indexing service cannot access a site protected by siteminder
To create a crawl index I must extend my web app to a site not using SiteMinder so I can get crawl data, them create a mapping so users will get results that will point to content in the the protected site.
If either of those assumptions are wrong, then that may be why I'm having problems.
Having said that, I'm having trouble getting the site extended. I'm following the directions from here:
but can't get a site built that responds. I've even tried building one that allows anonymous access just to see if I can see the data.
Has anyone got more detailed info on extending the app? It's the IIS site that has the connection to SiteMinder, not the content itself, so I'm not sure why I'm having issues.
