I created a web template using "save as template" on my custom site collection - imported the .wsp into Visual Studio, changed scope for feature 3 (stores the web template) to "Farm" and deployed it once (without any kind of clean up of the imported .wsp. This works fine so far, I was able to create a new site based on this template as expected.
However, when I try to deploy it again I do always receive:
Error occured in deployment step 'activate features': The URL'SitePages/Home.aspx' is invalid. It may refer to a nonexisting file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current web.
I noticed that if I create a new site collection and change the Site URL on my project it works fine.
Any idea what I am doing wrong or what I am missing? SP2013 on prem and VS 2013
