I have a workflow 2013 calling workflow 2010 to run the Impersonate step so that permissions on a custom list that is submitted by the user is set to view only. I want to change these permissions so that the user can not change the request once they submitted the custom list to workflow 2013. I know control returns to the workflow 2013 by looking at the history log.
The problem is, I have other steps that I want to execute in the workflow and they are not executed. I am the administrator of the test web site and I log on to the custom list and I get the same error message when I look at the task that is executing, "Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource. ".
After the impersonate function runs the test user only has view access and me as the administrator does have 'edit' rights on the custom list. The impersonate function has the one test user account selected and in the screen that says Modify Permissions, I have selected 'view only'. Also note that if I give this test user more access like contribute, the next steps do not successfully.
Thus can you tell me what you think I should do to solve this problem?
