customize list view like Resources in Central Admin

I just this post web part view without the selection button, and I tried to Summary Toolbar but did not give me the same look and feel like it does on Central Admin page. Laura has a print shot of what it would look like.

I even created a template out of CA resource list and recreated the list on a site collection. In the list view WP on a page i dropped the SalesResource list web part. I customized the webpart just like central admin but the end result is without the bullet points and column header (url). Please suggest.
