XSXsltListViewWebPart embedded search feature does not work

what i could see is that the XSXsltListViewWebPart search feature does not work: i don't know is there any implementation for search:

  <WebPartPages:XsltListViewWebPart runat="server" ...>
      <ParameterBindings>
         ...
     </ParameterBindings>
     <DataFields>
        ...
     </DataFields>
