Error when trying to reference an excel sheet inside SharePoint document library "The file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect"

I have the following :-

  SharePoint document library.

  
  


• 
  

  Inside the document library i have; Visio diagrams + excel sheet.

  
  


• 
  

  now i am using an Add-in inside the Visio drawings to reference the Excel sheet repository file.

  The problem is that if i edit a Visio drawing file directly from the SP document library (by clicking on "Open in Visio" link) and try to publish my changes to SP document library , i will get the following error:-

  
  

The file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect

as follow :-

so can anyone advice if there is a way to reference a document directly from the sharepoint document library? now if i move the document to our shared drive it will work well, or insdie my local machine it will also work well, so i though it should work the same same when i am trying to referecne it from the SP document library directly..
