Hyperlink in announcement list not working

I have the following problem: I want to add a hyperlink to an announcements list in Sharepoint 2013 (inside the description column of an item - i want it to show a bit of text and a hyperlink).

When I edit the item I can add the link, but then, when I look at the site, after clicking stop editing this item, the link disappears (it prints out the text but not the link). How can I fix this?
