Insert Link From SharePoint Use Office Web Apps URL

We're using SharePoint 2013 and have Office Web Apps configured and working properly from Document libraries.

When users are editing other pages and using the Insert --> Link --> From SharePoint they can browse to a document library and select a document to link to.

A couple questions:

  1. When inserting links this way there is no way to change the text that is displayed in the link without either Editing Source for the page or typing the text, highlighting it and then doing the insert link. Is there a user friendly way to change the text of the link (not the description)?

  2. When inserting links to Documents within a Document Library is there a way to use the Office Web Apps URL instead of directly to the document? Currently it will ask the user to open/save the document when they click on it but we want them to view the document directly. If the user browses to the document library they can copy the URL to a document and use the Insert --> Link --> From Address but this is more complicated/cumbersome for average users to do.

Any ideas on how to improve the process of inserting links?

Thanks,

Josh
