SharePoint 2013 Online: Adding webparts to a page with PowerShell

SharePoint 2007 --> SharePoint Online migration.

Moving from teamsites that have web part pages as thier default.aspx location to SPO ones that use Wiki Pages. We're using a third party to do the heavy content lifting for us.

What we're finding is that the rebuilt wiki pages in SharePoint 2013 Online aren't functioning properly. If we set the page to edit mode, they vanish and cannot be configured. Thus leads us to having to recreate the page manually once we've deleted the web parts in the maintenance page.

What I'd like to know is whether this can be sped-up via PowerShell. Would it be possible to write a script, that if provided will make a note of the existing web parts in an array, deletes them and then re-adds them? Currently having to do this is a very manual and time-intensive process.
