Site home page completely messed up?

I was trying to add dropdown for top menu bar in sharepoint 2013 site. Open site in SPD 2013 and followed instructions as said in below url. http://ift.tt/1yemUBI

Home Page got completely messed up. Sub-sites are looks perfect. only root site home page got messed up

now it looks like this.

In set v4.master to default page which is the original copy. still I am see the same.

I don't know what do next? any suggestions?
