Does the sharepoint excel app web part automatically recalculate the spreadsheet when it renders a named space element? Recalculation would include the data refresh and the recalculation of the cells.
to be clear, my scenario is one in which I have created a chart, typically a non power pivot chart, based upon a power pivot table or a linked table to a power pivot table. I use the named space feature to isolate the chart because that is all I want to show on the page. I also disable all tool bars, chrome, etc so that all a visitor can do is view the chart.
will sharepoint or excel services open the spreadsheet and calculate it including the data refresh before rendering the named space chart? I have configured the data refresh feature for the spreadsheet. is there a clean way to make it do the data refresh and then recalculate the spreadsheet before the chart is rendered?
sharepoint 2013 sp 1 enterprise farm, sql server 2012 sp2, excel 2013 connecting to an external ssas TABULAR model database.
