We have two virtual LAN net work v-1, v-2 and our site is hosted in v1 net work now we want to enabled it in v-2 as well. So we are trying to enable public url (alternate access mapping) of our SP 2010 site. We have refereed below links, and as per our analysis URL should be registered in DNS server. But we do not have rights to enabled it so any idea how we can achieve this without configuring DNS server.
