Use promoted links as document library filter

what I want is using a promoted links list as my menu, a document library on the same page linked to that list, and everytime I choose a tile on promoted links, document library will show filtered documents. What I creat tiles with nothing on location url, but I can't avoid page is refreshed everytime I click on any tile.
